So, due to a variety of obligations and plain forgetfulness, I totally failed to write a plot summary for the Kamen Teacher movie when it was still in theatres. Oops. >__>;; So now, very belated, in case anyone is still interested, here it is! I'm really sorry if I forget some things or if this isn't 100% accurate; I'm doing it based off my notes since the movie was a long time ago.

The movie was pretty crazy, but I enjoyed it. I don't really get what they were trying to say about hitting students being okay (because it's definitely not) but the whole message was pretty muddled, anyway. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it focused more on the students and less on Araki-- I feel like it didn't do as well as the series in that regard. But all in all, it was still a lot of fun and I still love Kamen Teacher!

WHEW!! Totally done with reports and summaries and write-ups for the next few days! And then Monday I'll have two new things to report on. DAMMIT! XD

I'm back from Tokyo and from the premier weekend for the Kamen Teacher movie! While I didn't get to see it first thing on opening day, I bought tickets to see the butai aisatsu/stage greeting on Sunday, February 23. I didn't know what to expect going in, but it was actually a lot of fun!

Kamen Teacher Movie Stage Greeting Report )

After the stage greeting was the movie itself. Surprisingly, a lot of fans left immediately, presumably because they 1) were going to another stage greeting, 2) had already seen the movie yesterday or 3) just didn't care? Or some combination of the three? It wasn't surprising that some people left, but I wasn't expecting the theatre to empty out to about 1/3 of capacity before the movie started.

My thoughts on the movie; cut for vague spoilers )

That's all for now~ After I see the movie a few more times, I'm going to write a full summary, but especially with how much the beginning jumped around and how much longer the movie was than earlier movies, I don't think I can do that now. So... sorry! Please wait a few more weeks, and then I'll be back with a full plot summary~

In the meanwhile, has anyone else on my flist seen the movie? What did you think? I'd love to discuss!

Finally, here it is! A birthday present for you all on my birthday! This is my summary of the Bad Boys J movie! I want to disclaim completely that there are probably some details that are a little off. As I've mentioned before, because the characters almost all speak in some degree of Hiroshima dialect, it makes it pretty hard for me to follow. Especially Shigeoka Daiki, who chose to mumble through the entirety of this movie (not really sure why he chose to do this, as I can usually understand him fine on TV, Kansai dialect and all), made it hard for me, especially since he was a pretty pivotal character. But! I'm generally confident that this is mostly right. So... please enjoy!

Warning! This is a complete summary of the movie, so there are spoilers!! Don't read if you don't want to be spoiled before the DVD comes out (which will probably be sometime in May of 2014, if I had to guess).

Gekijouban Bad Boys J! )

All in all, I actually enjoyed the movie much more than the series. I felt that where the series lacked in any dynamic character elements or character development, the movie actually accomplished that in about 1/6 the time. For the first time, I felt like I actually understood the characters' thoughts and motivations, and was able to see them respond to plot points, grow, and change. So while it wasn't as good as the Bakaleya movie, it was way better than the series, in my opinion, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

So, since I was lucky enough to get to see the Bakaleya movie on opening day, I figured I'd write up a brief recap of the plot. I can't remember exactly what ordere every single detail of the movie happened in, so I'm hesitant to call this a summary-- think of it more as a plot outline for those who absolutely can't wait and don't mind being spoiled. ^^; So, in case it isn't clear, there are spoilers for the Bakaleya movie beneath the cut! Obviously, don't read if you're waiting to see the movie yourself! Also, be warned that this is a little tongue-in-cheek, so take all my opinions and bad jokes in stride, if you can! ^^;

Gekijouban Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou )

That might have been somewhat disjointed, but that's the gist! I may update this when I see the movie again on Wednesday, or I may not. Hopefully I'll be able to post later with some of my thoughts, at the very least, but I have to say... I loved this movie and can't wait to see it again!

Just got back from seeing the new Star Trek movie! 8D It was amazing. I had quite a few fangirlgasms in the midst, and it definitely had enough foe yay and slashability and what have you to make me happy. Of course, I have to rave about it here, despite the fact that I'm not sure if anyone on my flist is familiar with the oldest Star Trek (I've only seen the original but I love it dearly). Sorry to everyone who's spammed by this but I've gotta flail somewhere. XD;

I'm a DOCTOR, not a physicist! )

Anyway, overall, I really enjoyed the movie. It was really good, and I recommend it a lot!

... yay inappropriate icon. XD;;;;
