There was supposed to be a typhoon today. Instead, the sky is bright blue and it's sunny and 30º C. What the heck, weather.

In other news, last weekend, [livejournal.com profile] yomimashou and I hit Tokyo for a shopping trip! As I mentioned, we went to eat delicious yakiniku with [livejournal.com profile] fencer_x, [livejournal.com profile] imma_holiday, and [livejournal.com profile] amyused, but we also hit Sunshine 60, Mandarake, K-books, and my personal favorite makeup shop in Japan, Skin Food, before we got dinner~ Of course, we recklessly spent our government-funded JET salaries (...er, yes, Japanese people's tax dollars are going towards my wardrobe, hurrah) on adorable new clothes, makeup, and Johnny's goods, but seriously, what more could you ask for in a weekend of shopping? Also, despite the fact that Hey! Say! JUMP doujinshi is incredibly hard to come by, [livejournal.com profile] yomimashou managed to buy a Takaki/Chinen doujinshi that was written during the period of time of the original Hey! Say! 7 Junior group, which was possibly the least disappointing doujinshi purchase ever. It was really awesome, and included a really hilarious short bit about Yamada posing in front of the bathroom mirror for an hour |D;; Also, the artist's rendition of tiny, fat-faced Chinen was great. XD;

In fun things news, we have tickets for next weekend to see On8 on [livejournal.com profile] yomimashou's birthday! While I'm disappointed that there's not a honkouen this season, I'm excited to see an On live for the first time! And then, we managed to get Johnny's World tickets for December 2nd... my birthday! But more importantly, Hikaru's birthday~ So hopefully they'll do something special for that! But sooner than that, we're hoping to be able to go to the Bakaleya movie opening night showing on October 13th! It might already be sold out, but we're hoping that no one in Gunma is that hardcore |D; Unlikely, but we'll see! And... in the least exciting and most embarrassing news, Sexy Summer ni Yuki ga Furu drops on Wednesday, so I should be getting the CD I preordered at Summary, complete with stickers, in the mail sometime this week, hurrah.

And then yesterday, TV decided to be ridiculously awesome for whatever reason, and NiTere decided to show a documentary about Johnny's Juniors narrated by... Tuti. Yes, it was a fandom collision for the ages, and hilarious to listen to Tuti's dramatic narration of how hard it is to be in showbiz as a teenager (though one of the juniors they interviewed, Yasui, was 21. I had no idea he was so old!). The documentary was really awesome and interesting though, so if it becomes available for download, I highly recommend it! Also, four of the Bakaleya boys were on some weird variety show about weird TV shows from around the world, and did some hilarious senpai monomane. It was great... and I'm so happy to see the boys get any publicity they can ♥

Speaking of monomane, randomly today, two girls from first year (one of them is my favourite kid, but don't tell anyone I have a favourite) who came to help the English teacher carry her things to the classroom saw me and came over and made some ridiculous face. I didn't have any idea what they were doing, so I asked what the face was, and they responded "ミランダ先生のものまね!" (an impersonation of you, Miranda-sensei!) |D;;; In the first year class, somehow, it ended up that I always get cast as the idiot in skits because once, I did something ridiculous to make the kids laugh, and so now the teacher plays it up, and I've become the boke to her tsukkomi, or something. |D; I'm not sure how I feel about this, but... I like that the kids like me? |D;;;

Unrelatedly, on the work front, some guy who's conducting research on elementary schools is stealing my class on Wednesday, about which I'm not thrilled. He's not teaching from the book, planning on teaching entirely in Japanese, and keeps saying "you're the assistant, so you can maybe translate into English sometimes..." :| I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it goes, but as the person who bears the brunt of lesson planning and work most of the time in elementary school, I'm so not excited about this or about being told that I'm the assistant who doesn't know how to run a class.

And then on Thursday, all the new ALTs have to go to some sort of seminar... whoopee. So thrilled to sit through MORE lectures. But I guess I get out of work for a day...? Honestly, I don't even think this is a good thing. -____-;

But whatever! It's nice out and I have new clothes and am going to see lots of fun things in the near future (none of which require new uchiwa WHAT WHAT) so I'm happy. :3

So, a few days ago, [livejournal.com profile] yomimashou and I sat down and rewatched a bunch of old *pnish* plays, and that reminded me that I hadn't done the *pnish* character sorter since Western Mode came out! So I decided to try it again and compare to last time. The results are...

Still not very surprising! )

Also, I miss seeing plays live ;A; It's just not the same on film. I can't wait to get back so I can see everything live again! (* u *)

I AM.

I was so productive today! I subbed another five minutes of Maharaja Mode, so we're almost 45 minutes in now :D (I know, fail, I didn't sub for like almost a month. =___=) Still, that means we're almost almost halfway! XD; And I was having trouble getting together the attention span to do the section that I really hate, but I've finally gotten through it! Parvati's back, yaaaay~ So hopefully as soon as [livejournal.com profile] fencer_x gets me more translations, I can get on subbing more regularly~

A friend is coming to visit tomorrow, so I'm psyched for that :D But I really need to get on my choreography for this spring... :< Hm, winter break always feels like it should be longer than it is...

...I want the rest of the new BuriMyu cast list to come out. Because really, that can't be the whole thing.

Because I'm a cool kid and Jay is my second favourite *pnish* character (shut up, don't judge XD), I made a Jay lovebar!

俺の名は . . . 佐野大樹ジュニアーだ! )

And since I liked some of the images I cropped, I made a few icons, too. XD I've made a bunch of odd icons recently that should get an icon dump over at [livejournal.com profile] electric_boys, but for now, have three Jay icons. XD;

As it turns out, Wasshi and Mizuki starred in a play together last June (Mizuki was first billed, Wasshi second billed) called "世界征服の作り方" or "How to Make World Domination" XD;;; As the title clearly shows... the play was about wedding dress designing! From the cast info here, it says that Wasshi is the chief designer of "Rose and Rose," a dress company that's about to go under, and Mizuki is a guy who walks in off the street one day and says he's going to save their shop. XD; The official blog is here, in case anyone is interested. XD;

However, it seems like Wasshi and Mizuki were spending some time together during this period~ From this post:

With Mizuki-san, Fuku-san, the three of us went to a nearby ramen place!

...Okay, so that's not that exciting, but it shows that he WENT PLACES WITH MIZUKI. Meaning they hang out! It was just the three of them, not the whole cast or anything!

As does this blog entry:

I went to see a show with the "Sekai Seifuku" members!

...okay, so that REALLY isn't that exciting, since it WAS a bunch of people, and he doesn't mention Mizuki in his post, but in another cast member's post, he mentions Mizuki being there. And who knows what they did together, ahahaha! XD;;

Then, in one of his characteristic "I'm going to spam the play blog since I can't have my own" moments, Mizuki posts this, in which he has a photo of Wasshi and mentions him. :3 Not all that exciting, but Mizuki posting a photo of Wasshi nonetheless. :D

BUT THEN! In this post, Wasshi says:

After rehearsals, it's the weekend!
Is everyone going to come see the show?
I really hope you'll all come see my performance with Mizuki-san!

Because apparently Mizuki is the only important one ^___~

And then here, Wasshi says on the play blog:

This is a two-shot of me and Mizuki-san! Or it was supposed to be, but it's just Mizuki-san's hand.
I'm definitely really looking forward to my first show outside of *pnish* shows with Mizuki-san!

AWWWW. Just... awwww. *_____* Wasshi's so enamoured, it's adorable.

So yes. Long story short: THIS PAIRING IS SO CANON.

See the scarf in this picture?

Does it look anything like this here scarf?

THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS.

YES, THAT'S RIGHT. THAT SCARF I WAS KNITTING FOR WASSHI?

HE WORE IT TODAY.

*___________*

I made that scarf. I touched that scarf. I tried that scarf on for size.

And Washio Noboru wore it/may still be wearing it at this moment.

FUCK.

(...haha, the lighting/quality of my cell phone camera is so bad...)

Somehow, since coming to Japan, I've gotten a bad rep for hating Moriyama Eiji. And so I'd like to come out and say this:

I don't hate Moriyama Eiji!

Yes, that's right. I think he's a little bit of a creep, but really, when he's not pretending to be the "cool" one or acting "hipper" than the rest of *pnish*, I think he's really all right. Yeah, I make fun of him for being old, but I also make fun of Tuti for being bald, and I love Mizuki all the more for having an ego huge enough to envelope all of Japan and most of the Korean peninsula if it had the chance. I tend to make fun of people I like if I think their egos can take it (in other words, so many people put Wasshi down and he's so sweet that I could never do it), and just because he's not the "sexy" he was ten years ago doesn't mean I don't like him for it.

And there are times-- I was reminded by listening to Makenaide earlier, when he's calling out the lines to the audience-- that he's totally dorky and in sync with the rest of *pnish*, and I love it. There are times when he's a total weirdo, or when he sucks up to Daiki, or does something really ridiculously sweet for him, and I think it's adorable. I think he's a great singer, and his performances in Tenimyu and Burimyu were both admirable. And despite being 34, I think he did an admirable job with Ronnie in Western Mode.

So yeah. You're not going to hear me walking around saying how much I love Eiji, and, more often than not, you'll hear me calling him old or bald or ugly. But when it comes down to it, I'll still be lining up at the next opportunity to have him speak bad English at me and stare at my cleavage.

...unless he asks me "how much." :P Then all bets are off.

Well, I happened to stumble upon this quiz and, in great amusement, took it. My result:

Western Mode! )

Samurai Mode! )

Well, that was fun. XD;;;
faded_lace: (Wasshi: green)
So, today, at the suggestion of [livejournal.com profile] fencer_x, I was browsing through the Samurai Mode blog, and I found a few cute things :3

Firstly, as it turns out, Mizuki has a sort-of abnormal pattern for what he calls the *pnish* members. He calls Daiki "Daiki-chan," which, of course, makes sense, since they're brothers, and I'm sure when they were kids, Mizuki took great pleasure in patronizing Daiki with nicknames like that. XD;;; But interestingly enough, he calls Eiji "Moriyama" consistently throughout the blog (and in the interview, I just wasn't thinking about it before), and Tuti is always "Tsuchiya." Wasshi, however, is always "Wasshi" (he writes it わっしー, which strikes me as sort of funny, since more people write it in katakana, as ワッシー). Outside of Mizuki's own brother, he's the one who gets a pet name. What does this mean? I really can't say. But I know what I want it to mean. ^__~;;

And then, in this post, Mizuki (who tends to spam the blog a lot; any post you see entitled "佐野瑞樹です。" is him XD) talks about how he was complimented by the director for working hard to the point of his muscles cramping to get his fight scenes just right. At the end of the post, Mizuki concludes:

"All right!! I'm kindly going to teach this method to Wasshi, who's struggling with his posture and sword fighting!

He'll definitely be really grateful!!

He then follows up with a photo of Wasshi.

Obviously, this is another Mizuki-being-Mizuki moment, since he seems to plan to offer his services to Wasshi completely unasked, and seems to think that Wasshi will think he walks on water once he has shared his GREAT WISDOM... but I still think it's a pretty cute interaction. Like, Mizuki choosing to divulge his new method to Wasshi, like it was a big deal or something, and, of course, Wasshi playing along because Wasshi's way too nice of a guy not to. XD; I feel like, since Wasshi'd be a willing audience for Mizuki's need to peacock-strut, he'd end up always showing off to Wasshi... which seems awfully cute. XD;;;

...I'm a cool kid, I know. XD;

In the past few days, I have discovered the best, most beautiful RPS pairing in the whole world ever.

Washio Noboru/Sano Mizuki.

...Since probably everyone reading this is wondering what the hell I'm smoking, I'm going to start on a slightly backwards note and mention the reasons why this doesn't not make sense. Or rather, why this is perfectly reasonable in the world of RPS. XD;;; Let's compare to an extremely popular RPS fandom, TeniMyu:
① Many popular TeniMyu pairings are based entirely off of the pairing the characters play. For example, many Shirota/Aiba fans I have encountered primarily ship Tezuka/Fuji, and have clearly stated that this is the reason why they ship Shirota and Aiba. As in, unrelated to the actors' behaviour backstage or out of character.
② Many popular TeniMyu pairings are based entirely off of backstage material from one or two musicals, without any blog references or continued interaction to the knowledge of the viewer. For example, Saitou/Ruito was a popular pairing, and while the two spent a lot of time together in various musicals, they don't appear on one another's blogs, nor do we have any hard evidence that they spend time together outside of musicals.
③ TeniMyu is a much larger, much more fanservice-oriented fandom than *pnish*. I'm just going to leave that statement hanging. XD;
(Not that I'm criticizing TeniMyu fandom! I'm just using these paradigms as an example to prove that I'm not coming entirely out of left field here, and that this isn't as much of a stretch as it might seem.)

So, keeping all those things in mind , please read on! :D

I promise I'm not crazy! )

And that's really it. XD; I know I'm bizarre, but I'm actually quite enthralled with this, so don't be surprised if I put out fic. ♥ I just want Wasshi to be happy and have somebody to love~

And, of course, I'd love to hear any thoughts on this beautiful essay (if you can even call it that... XD;;;)! I'd prefer, naturally, if you didn't comment PURELY to tell me that I'm a crazy bitch, but if you have any thoughts on what I've written or any questions of where I come up with this stuff... discussion makes the world go 'round :D

...I should probably go to bed now. XD;;;
faded_lace: (Daiki: smile)
I wrote up a plot summary of Western Mode for those who just can't wait for the DVD to come out! XD; Thanks so much to [livejournal.com profile] fencer_x for proofreading for me~

And without further ado:

*pnish* vol. 12: Western Mode )

I'm so sad Santies is over. TT____TT;; I want to go back! And I want to shake Wasshi's hand again >>;; Now I just have to get these reports done... I'm so slow. @___@;; I'll get them done eventually, I promise!

ANYWAY.

The last show ;___; )

I hope these reports have been helpful! If there's anything I didn't mention that you were curious about, feel free to let me know. ^^;;
faded_lace: (Kime: キラキラ)
I KNOW I'M REALLY BEHIND ON REPORTS but I'm working on catching up, I promise. TT___TT;;;

ANYWAY:

Thursday night, I saw Santies again, and this time the guest was none other than Kimeru! Since Kime is one of my favourite former TeniMyu boys/fabulous, fabulous girly men, I was delighted, and considering all the stuff that went on during first cast Tenimyu, I was interested to see how he would interact with our own Moriyama-san after so long! I was super pumped... But it definitely lived up to all my expectations!

And you know you want to read all about it! [WARNING: bizarre RPS pairings beneath!] )

That's all for now! I'm going to try to get the final report, the one with Tsuda Kenjirou as the guest, done as soon as possible! I also am planning on writing a report on Kimeru's live that I went to today (Saturday, the 25th), and maybe the Kitty Guys event from Thursday, so... hopefully I'll get those done eventually XD
faded_lace: (Wasshi: The Gay One!)
Yesterday evening, I saw Santies (Moriyama Eiji and Washio Noboru's two-man show as the oldest two members of *pnish*) for the first of three times :D I'm going to post about most of the actual content of the show later, but for now, some of the AMAZING things that happened to me at the show today!

You know you want to click~ )
faded_lace: (Mako-chan!)
Ahahaha... how did this happen again?! This is really a short pointless fluffy drabble as requested by [livejournal.com profile] fencer_x! Also not beta'd, so I apologize for the plethora of typos that I'm sure I didn't catch.

Title: Pillow Talk

Disclaimer: Seriously, I have no idea what to write here.

Rating: PG

Pairing: TAKO-CHAN.

Warnings: BL, fluff, implied sex and mentions of prostitution

Author's Note: This was prompted by [livejournal.com profile] fencer_x! (er, like everything in this "fandom"?)

The last few minutes of the night before he falls asleep are by far Mako-chan's favourite part of the day. )
faded_lace: (Parvati & Vishnu: Embrace)
I have no excuses and I won't apologize. >>;;;; This group is so highly filtered none of you should judge me, anyway. XD;;;;; Also, unbeta'd, so please excuse the typos. XD;

Title: Something Right

Disclaimer: ...I don't even know what to say. >>;;

Rating: PG-13

Pairing: Isaka Tatsuya/Uenobori Makoto AS their characters from Trenchcoat Mode

Warnings: BL, kissing, hints of other things, mentions of prostitution, spoilers for the end of the story

Author's Note: Uh, so... I don't have any excuses for this, but here it is. XD;;; Enjoy.

The first time Tatsuya sees him, it's completely in the wrong place at the wrong time. )
faded_lace: (Wasshi: The Gay One!)
I am SO SORE. I took class today, but I shouldn't be THAT out of shape. Apparently, I am, though, and oh god, is walking going to be sad tomorrow. @___@ I already hurt all over.

I also auditioned for my piece in the spring gala today. It went... interestingly, to say the least. Here's to hoping everything works out @____@;;

AHHH I'm not at all packed for Japan and it's making me stress all of a sudden. WHERE DID ALL THE TIME GO??

But, on the bright side, I made some new *pnish* desktops for myself and [livejournal.com profile] yomimashou, and I made a Tuti and Nagayan background for Parvati (the blackberry) :3 How did I fall so much in love with *pnish* recently? XD;
