I've returned from DC~ It was quite an adventure (笑) The drive down was a bit tumultuous, but we made it in one piece!

I don't know how I got this sick this fast, but I feel gross. I should sleep...

Jazz ensemble audition on Thursday was... interesting. But I got in, so I suppose I should be happy. I'm withholding statement until rehearsals start.

Submitted both my Art Major declaration and my Dance Independent Major proposal... hope all goes well. I'll submit my internal Study Abroad application as soon as my major declaration goes through and my Temple one ASAP. I have to wait for my signature thing to go through so that I can sign the online documents, write one more essay, and get my internal form signed... but I should be able to submit by the beginning of February. Here's to hoping.

Did a Kime shoot yesterday in the dark, and got 15 good shots out of it. Thanks to moonlightlady14 for photographing for me. My wig looks really blonde because of the weird lighting, but other than that, I think they came out well. I'll post them as soon as I can think straight again...

My entire studying experience has been to the dulcet tones of Kimeru (and as I result, I now have Koishite Kimeru stuck in my head...) I feel like I shouldn't have done that, but I guess he's easy to study to. XD; I tried NEWS, but I kept getting distracted, and listening to Hyoutei B made my ears hurt >___>; So... more Kime it is. XD;

Relatedly, I was thinking of cosplaying Kimeru for a con sometime in the near future. Would anyone be interested in cosplaying an actor with me? I'd love a Nagayan or Yanagi, but anyone from first cast or who Kime's been known to hang around with would be great (lol Daisuke with his gross facial hair?). I know yomimashou has mentioned maybe wanting to, and I'm fairly certain most people on my flist who cosplay with think I'm a crazy person, but maybe genicheerios, onewhomust, I'm kind of looking at you. XD; Or anyone who goes to the same cons as me. I just really wanna do it, even for half a day, and it would be more fun with more friends :D

For reference, I'm thinking of doing this here outfit, so... it doesn't really have any affect on what anyone else wears. XD;;; Just... because I think it would be fairly easy to do. ^^;;; And I have to find a mullet wig... >>;;; But on the bright side, my Kimeru's arm impressions are amazing. XD;

Well! This is epically late, but there you go. I'm honestly really dragging my feet on this... so I don't have much to say but please enjoy my annual Otakon con report! It's crappy this year because I was rushing to get it done because it's super late and so please don't think ill of my captioning abilities... I promise I can do better and have done better in previous years ;

And yes, my lj-cut text is really lame this year but I totally can't think of anything else. XD;

So, for the first time ever, we managed to get a photoshoot in before Otakon! It's a miracle, I know. But today, chiachiaamichan, yomimashou, and I met with redkittychan to get some photos done! redkittychan is an amazing photographer and has a really nice camera, so we were able to get some nice shots! We frolicked around in Prince of Tennis first, because there's a tennis court right by yomimashou's house, and then we took some pictures in her back yard, too. After that, chiachiaamichan and I hopped into Noa and Mokuba and did some shots in yomimashou's house and in her yard. We've never used her yard before, but it was really great for taking pictures! So I think we're all really happy with the results.

Also for the first time, I actually photoshopped these pictures before posting them, so there's a result that I'm happy with. Usually, since we do our shoots during and after Otakon, I'm way too tired to do anything besides just post and make a con report. Since I had the time and energy this time, I've made the lighting and colours a little nicer and things, so I'm actually rather happy with the result. Of course, most of the credit goes to redkittychan's photography, but I did I little editing~

Um, I'm going to post the two shoots in two different posts, because there's a crap ton of pictures. redkittychan took over 300 and then weeded quite a few out, and then I got even pickier for this, but there's still quite a few. So first I'll post the Yuugiou shoot (even though we did it second) because there's fewer pictures, then I'll post the Prince of Tennis shoot.

Happy Easter, for all y'all who celebrate that and whatnot. Me, I celebrated by watching Advancement Match Rokakku with britkit27. I'm going out to sushi in a bit, and then I think we're going to watch Absolute King Rikkai First Service and maybe DoRai 4th next... we'll see how far we get. Advancement Match was... more Hyoutei than Rokakku, I think. XD;;; Which is fine with me, really... I mean. ATOBE IN THE SHOWER SCENE. That right there makes the musical. Also Date is still there. Also Ruito is adorable and makes little hearts with his hands at Saitou during Season. So yeah. XD;;; A good watch, all in all.

Also, I got lots of good stuff for Easter! I got a bunch of candy and goodies from my aunt, and my family got me candy as well, and new slippers and socks and this AMAZING shirt from Delia's that says "Out is the new in" and I love it to death. ♥♥♥

Man, it's so nice out today. I wish we could have played tennis...

Uhh... This was done completely and entirely because I was bored and I felt like it.

Actually, that's not 100% true. I wanted to practice binding and make sure everything still fit (since last time I wore the costume, it was '04, lolol). Everything did indeed still fit (obviously), though the shirt is a bit short since I bought it five and a half years ago and short stuff was in back then... oh well. The vest isn't entirely accurate, either, since it's made of fleece and not like, poofy stuff, but I was working on a budget. Don't tell anyone. XD;

As for binding, it definitely helped, but not entirely, and it was a bit tough to breathe. Still, I think I can get flatter if I practice more and get it tighter, especially if I have help. And it isn't so bad in the Mokuba costume, the vest kind of covers it... For Hakkai, hopefully it will make the shirt fit better ;; I'm thinking of sewing myself into it this year, or having someone sew me into it... because the way that it's cut is a ridiculous hassle.

For some reason, my camera takes really crappy pictures recently. Like, pixelated and with some random white noise sometimes. So, uh. Someone else should bring their camera to Otakon, because srsly. This is beginning to annoy me.

And, for the record, my hair doesn't always look like that. I teased it up a little bit for the pictures, and I'm planning on teasing it some more for the actual cosplay, because Mokuba's hair is filled with wtf. But my hair irl is not so crazy. XD;;

I still need to make the necklace, but I think me and V are going to do that together sometime or something? And I need to put the buttons on the collar because accuracy is full of yay. And find some gay sneakers. XD;;; But yeah this costume is so easy I feel like it's a crime or something. XD;

Dance Party was super fun last night. Wish I could have stayed longer, but it's probably better that I left when I did... When I got back, I could barely breathe, and when I got up this morning, I couldn't talk because I was so hoarse from yelling XD;; Still, it was awesomely fun... I hope they have another soon!

Finished my paper on Plato and Lord of the Flies... Now I just have to look over and edit it... I think it's pretty all right, though, if a little redundant. Then again, the professor said that it was better to be redundant than to lose the reader, so. Yay. I'm basically done.

Now, to memorize me some Japanese... Got an email from Koike-sensei that said we had to know all the katakana by tuesday. -_____-;;; She closed it with "Katakana is fun!" though, which was about the cutest thing ever, so I'm not so angry... XD;;; I still hope the thing with Kobayashi-sensei [who will from here forward be referred to as "Kobasen"... because I'm too much of a geek not to XD] wasn't graded... -___-;; I made such a fool of myself. Funny that she's from Hockessin, too, though... haha.

Have to buy tickets tomorrow for NYAF... Cosplay's going to be awesome though!


...so not looking forward to ballet ensemble tomorrow morning. That dance is like an acid trip or something...

Have been listening to the new Minekura music nonstop... lulz.
