Why does it seem like I spend at least 30% of time I spend on livejournal anymore, I'm fighting with it to load or do what I want it to or not eat my comments? And email notifs have been really slow lately, too. Seriously, LJ, wtf?

In other news, pergamond is coming to visit! I'm really excited~ Hopefully, my humble college dorm won't be something of an embarrassment... I'm cleaning like crazy this weekend. XD pergamond, prepare to be spammed with TeniMyu. I'm not kidding. XD;

... I don't have much to talk about. I should update more... but my life is so boring.

I guess they're doing so much maintenance shiz or whatever, revamping for the Halloween season, so they're adding load on their servers apart from what we users already overload it with, IDK. O___________________o

I've never been that far north. I'm a Southern girl at heart, but I definitely want to. Maybe once things calm down a bit financially I'll try to make a trip out East. I miss the coast so much.

I think I didn't really have a favourite with Atobe... now I like Oshitari / Atobe quite a bit but not in LC. It's too fun for Oshitari to be single XD

Ah XD; Yeah, I always shipped Dirty Pair, so that didn't work for me... XD; My friends all ship Atobe with Jirou, but... I just don't see the basis for it at all. It seems so random to me.

It's only random because they fail to develop Jirou's character. Once you do that, they clearly belong together. >_>

Well, but what if you develop Jirou's character to be, say, completely airheaded and stupid, which is really closer to what they make him out to be in the anime? In that case, I don't see him with Atobe at all. In fact, all canon indications point to Atobe being rather exasperated with him. While it's true, not very many characters are thoroughly developed in canon and characters are build off of the little Konomi gives us, parings I consider not-random are pairings that have basis in canon beyond being on the same team. Dirty Pair, for example, play doubles. They sit next to one another on the bench and address most of their dialogue to one another during Hyoutei's match in Kantou Daikai. To involve Jirou, Sweet Pair, as much as I don't like it, has obvious basis in that Jirou is obsessed with Marui and even keeps one of his wristbands in his bag at all times because he's such a fanboy. Atobe, in this same vein, might much more obviously be shipped with Tezuka, against whom he played a match quite filled with tension and afterwards with whom he develops a relationship such that they have one another's phone numbers. In Kantou Daikai, the extend of Atobe and Jirou's interaction is Jirou squeeing about Fuji to Atobe and Atobe raising an eyebrow at him with a clear expression of wtf. While yes, I think the pairing makes more sense than, say Jirou/Ryoma or something because, yes, they are one the same team, yes, they have interacted, and yes, there is some chance for them to be together, I feel completely justified in saying I find the pairing wholly random.

I mean, honestly. I think there's more canon basis for Inui/Eiji than there is for AtoJi.
