Edward Elric and Victor Frankenstein have a lot in common. In all seriousness. I shall make a chart to show you.

They both:
-Have a bad temper
-Are extremely eager to study science
-Have a blonde sister-figure (okay, that one's kind of farfetched)
-Try to bring the dead back to life and create a monster instead
-Have to pay dearly for their transgression
-Read the works of Hohenheim (For Ed, it was his father's letters, for Victor, it was the books of Paracelsus, better known as Theophrastus Bombastus Hohenheim)
-End up somewhere very far from home in their quest to right their wrongs
-Have younger brothers. XD;

That's the list for now, but there's probably more to come, since I'm only in chapter 2. Isn't that freaky, though?

[EDIT] And I quote: "...[modern scientists] know that metals cannot be transmuted and the elixir of life is a chimera." This is just plain freaky. Hiromu Arakawa must have been reading a Japanese translation of Frankenstein when he made FMA or something.

It's making Frankenstein most tolerable...but I wouldn't suggest you reading it unless you have to. For the most part, it's very rambling and boring. @_@ Although this one guy seems like he's a closet gay. XD

Really? I suppose I always assume that classics like that must be good, otherwise they wouldn't remain popular for so long... come to think of it, though, I read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and found it impossible boring. Maybe it's just the ideas that make them popular? Eheheh. Randomly gay people in old novels crack me up.

Yeah, it's not too long, but she goes into great repetitive length about everything. I think it has good ideals, and it's probably a good book, but if it wasn't for Hohenheim and Dante turning up every few chapters, I might die of bordom. XD And the guy is like "I find new affection in my new guest" and stuff like that.

Hmmm... How many pages is it? It least you have something to keep you going. I find myself finding all kinds of excuse that involve anime characters in order to keep reading something, or something. There was this one poem we had to memorize in English and I convinced myself that it was 58 just so I could find so reason to remember it. XD ahahah. Yay for gay people.

I joined the RP, and yes I did see the yaoi, no it doesnt bother me, it just made me laugh. I need a character, any suggestions? and am I the only boy who is/might be RPing, cause if i am, thats gonna make me laugh harder.

Yeah, http://www.fullmetal-alchemist.com for FMA. Also, once you get to the scanlations, there are other ones on the site, but I'm not a big fan of any of them.

And we'd love you to be Winry, that'd be very funny. Of course, a few of us have her in a crack pairing with Riza...but, hey, if you mun, the everything is up to you. But we do really, really, really need military people, so...yeah.
