FINALLY SOME REAL FLUFF. My first Silver Pair; I think they're adorable but I was worried about my Shishido... I hope he's okay. ICON IS FINALLY APPROPRIATE! XD;; Please enjoy!

Title: Snow Day

Author's note: I hope I did Silver Pair justice ^^;;; Finally, some substantial fluff!!

It was cold yesterday, but it's colder today; there's snow on the ground. Saturday practice has been cancelled (even if they could play in the snow, god forbid Atobe might have to drive all the way to school in such bad weather) and so Choutarou and Shishido are blissfully free from obligation. The snow is no longer falling, but neither find any reason to leave the dorm; the walk to Choutarou's room, Shishido complains, was enough of a trek, and they're staying right here.

Choutarou doesn't mind, however; wrapped only in an oversized sweatshirt and socks, he's perfectly comfortable and warm in Shishido's arms as they slouch on his bed, gazing out the window, out across Hyoutei's campus-turned-winter-wonderland. Shishido's hat has fallen off sometime earlier and is now laying on the floor, but Shishido has made no move to retrieve it, and Choutarou doesn't want to let him up, anyway. They're a little awkward; they're always a little awkward, a tangle of limbs, because Choutarou's just that bit taller and Shishido is very persistent in his need to be in control, but now they've found a comfortable position and Choutarou can tell Shishido intends to stay put, what with the way he's holding Choutarou like he might run away. He knows Shishido'd never admit to doing it, but it makes Choutarou feel fuzzy inside, and so he doesn't mention it, only silently bubbles. He sighs contentedly and Shishido sighs, too, running a hand, once, through Choutarou's hair affectionately, and Choutarou nuzzles a little closer and wishes that they could stay like this forever.

In a little while, they'll finally get up; Choutarou will put some pants on and Shishido will reclaim his cap and together, they'll make the long journey across campus to find lunch, and on they way back, they'll romp in the snow briefly, throwing snowballs until Choutarou slips and grabs Shishido on the way down and they land in a tangled mess. Choutarou will laugh and Shishido will grumble, and Choutarou will kiss away that pouty expression before they manage to get to their feet again. Hand in hand, they'll return to the dorm, cold and wet, and will talk briefly about showers but will end up warming one another up instead. Shishido will end up dozing off in Choutarou's bed and they'll miss dinner but they won't really care, because they'll be comfortable again, just like they are now.

They will be comfortable again, and they will do all of that, eventually, but that requires the will to move, which, currently, neither has. And so they sit, looking out the window and warming one another and feeling entirely grateful that it's colder today than yesterday.
