So, today, I watched Serenity, marking the completion of my Firefly viewing experience. I liked it all right. I wasn't like, captivated, but it was cute and I enjoyed it. Honestly, I think it proves the theory that I can't get into something if I don't have a good ship. Because like, Firefly = good series, no gayness, therefore, I'm kind of apathetic. But like, Prince of Tennis = not exactly deep, quality entertainment, but it's chock full of gay, so I love it. This is a sad but true fact of life. XD;;;

So, on to the review.

I really did like it, don't get me wrong. I was really attached to Zoe and Wash (WTF WHY DID WASH HAVE TO DIE? SERIOUSLY?!), but I have to say, Jayne was definitely my favourite (and Kayla agrees with me that he's gay!) River was funny with her lack of tact (I loved the "your bible is broken!" part XD) though the last episode with her and the guy being CRAZY was just weird. Mal was kind of a douche, Inara was okay, Simon needed a good fuck up the ass, Booke is... a mystery, and Kaylee NEEDED TO DECIDE ON A PERSONALITY. She changed a lot -_____- I think it was better in the movie, when she was just down to earth and like, okay talking about sex and stuff. Like, in the show, first she's a cute little innocent girl, then she's like, pissy about any little thing Simon says, and then she's like, easy and has flings with random guys? I don't get it. PICK A PERSONALITY, KAYLEE. STOP BEING SO OOC. Oh, and I hate Saffron.

Uh... I don't really honestly have all that much to say. It would have been cool if it kept running. Yeah.

Firefly! Serenity! Haha I just watched the series/movie earlier this year. But yeah I agree, Jayne is definitely my favorite. Haha I like the one episode where they went to the mining town and he was their hero. But yeah, I didn't like Kaylee all that much, she kind of annoyed me. But I did like River and Simon.

I feel like some one sang the Jayne our hero song sometime during Hell Week, but I can't remember when.

XD;; Awesome. Jayne is the super coolest ever. I love his knit hat from his mommy. And the fact that he can only barely read. XD;;;; And yeah, Jayne's Town was definitely one of my favourites, too. I liked River and Simon okay, but not like, immensely.

Ooh, I tried to watch Serenity about two days ago, but it just didn't grab me. :/ I think maybe I'd need to see Firefly first, perhaps?

Oh, really? That's coincidental XD; But yeah. I really liked Firefly a lot better than Serenity, honestly, so I would definitely recommend watching the series first. The movie is sort of like... a rushed, shortened version of how Joss Whedon would have finished the series if it didn't get cancelled, so far as I can tell? I definitely think the series is better.

Hilde was like super-depressed that Wash died. I can see why he was her favorite character, though, because he's pretty awesome.

Simon really does need a good fuck up the ass. It's really sad that there's no one good to pair him with... I'm told all the fanfic is him and River >.>

And...I think that's all I have to say at this point. XD;;

I was talking to Hilde today and she was like, "Jayne is definitely a repressed homosexual. But depending on whether he's a repressed top or a repressed bottom, I would either pair him with Simon or with Mal." XD I'm going with the Jayne/Simon at this point, though. She also ships Inara and Kaylee, but I'm kind of with you on the not liking Kaylee so much front.

Okay, so the Serenity movie was supposed to be three films, but due to lack of funds and stuff, Joss had to smoosh all of the events into one film. I'm not sure if wash and Book always meant to die, but I know that Inara (holy crap, she's hot) was always supposed to be dieing of cancer or something, which is why she left the House, when she was set up to become the House Priestess.

Also, on the Jayne is a repressed homosexual asspect, before the show got canceled, Joss had planned to have Jayne and Simon hook up briefly and have lots of slash-tastic under currents.

I think the many personalities of Kaylee can be pretty much strung together as cause/effect plus "holy crap I'm stuck on a ship with a bunch of assholes and a guy who won't communicate with me or admit he likes me ((plus i'm secretly in love with Inara))!!!" She is, as a person, down-to-earth and fun, not too serious, and because of her less serious attitude she's willing to have random flings- plus that guy had fantastic tattoos. There's pretty much one thing that gets under her skin, and that's Simon ((who yes, needs to be fucked up the ass)), and that makes her pissy.

And how can you hate Saffron? She's a total asshat and that's why I love her!

Other than that, I have no objections.
