Stigma [manga rec]
Dec. 7th, 2008 01:16 pmSo, I read Stigma, and it was excellent. I have a review, for those of you who care to read, and will be glad to send you the file or burn you a disk. Of course, I have to thank
oversaturate for the file in the first place!
Stigma centres around 3 characters: the main character, "Stork," his foundling shota boy, "Tit," and the creepy villainous "Death." Living in a semi-post-apocalyptic world where the sky is too polluted and birds no longer exist, Stork has forgotten his memories, and one day comes across an orphan named Tit (the term for a small bird, fyi). Together, they search "for the place with blue skies," and Stork (whose personality reminds me strangely of Bus Gamer's Mishiba's) slowly, though he doesn't want to become attached, falls in love with Tit. It's ridiculously sweet and cute, and I cried several times... as well as being very deep and symbolic, as Minekura's words tend to be. It's written in snapshots and that sort of thing... sort of like Wild Adapter, but different, and it's entirely in colour, which really adds to the symbolism.
So, to be concise, Kit gives it: ★★★★★ [5 out of 5 stars!] It's just so sweet.... TT____TT
Expect icons over break.
