NYAF Photos and Con Report!

faded_laceSo, the level of cosplay at NYAF was not so much on the impressive side, but we have a couple of pictures for you to enjoy, and, of course, my normal con report!
New York Anime Festival!
So, we started out the day running late because![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
strom_of_62's hair dye was REDICK, but we finally made it onto the subway and received many a strange look before arriving at our stop! THEN there was a long walk through nowhereland until we saw some other cosplayers and FINALLY arrived at the convention centre!
It turned out, the Diabetes Convention was also the same day, the same place XD;; So we had to avoid them and go to the anime place. But we finally got our badges and got in! First off, we headed to the dealers room to get our shopping out of the way. It was extremely crowded. This is also when the one person who took our picture took our picture. XD
While we were there,wearenotaskitz found an awesome No Face!
After a few hours, we headed off to our first item on the schedule. On our way out, though, we ran into a Greed and Envy!
Hee. Nothing like a good old FMA otp. XD
On the way there, we also ran into some Mew Mews who were quite nicely dressed
And a KuroFye pair! Even if it was one of those silly girlfriend-boyfriend yaoi cosplays, it was still awesome XD;;
Yay~ I love those two so much X3
After that, we went and watched Ping Pong, and AMAZING and VERY GAY movie about these two guys who want to become amazing Ping Pong players! It was excellent, and Smile, one of the main characters (SO THE UKE BTW) looked a lot like Tezuka from Imperial Match TeniMyu Hyoutei XD;;; I very much recommend it to anyone who likes live-action silly Japanese movies and gay boys XD
Next we headed back to the dealer's room for some food and continued shopping until our next event. Just when we sat down to eat, however, a Light and L started making out and getting it on, so we ended up awkwardly watching the whole thing. XD;;
They're rather blurry... sorry for that ^^;It's S-chan's fault!!! すみません。
After that, we went to a VA panel, which was not as much fun as the one from Otakon 2005, but it was amusing because there was the original Ash and Misty from Pokemon there. XD;; There were also a couple people from Yugioh 5Gs...In the future, card games will be played on motorbikes! XD;;; And some guys who had been gay together in a yaoi anime. I think the one guy was gay, he had a yaoi paddle... XD;;;
When that was done, we headed back to the dealer's room mostly to chill and wait for CodeGayass Geass to start. Which was a long time from then, and the dealer's room closed, so there was a while where we just chilled. But we got a bunch of nice pictures!

Yugioh! Nice hair on the Yugi! I was impressed.
Dejiko and Puchiko from Di-Gi-Charat! I was very impressed with this!

Then we went back, me and Air practiced fake kissing, we did our photoshoot, ate sushi, Air showered for the rest of her life, and went to bed.
The next day, we didn't cosplay. Stupidly enough, the subway was significantly less crowded.
Really, the whole point of going the second day was to see Tanaka Rie... and we were expecting to wait in a line for FOREVER, but we didn't! It was really unnerving... the room didn't even fill! NYAF was so small compared to Otakon... it was redick. But seeing Tanaka Rie was so cool! She's apparently a gamer too. We got a lot of stalker photos! XD
Then we ate at Chipotle (which was actually quite delicious!) and went home. XD;; And that was that!
I hope more people can come next year! It was fun!
