summary: While Hikaru can feel his cheeks burning, the smile that Inoo gives him in response is worth more to him than a thousand wins on the radio.
“The problem is that you’re irresistible,” Inoo says breathily into the microphone, that look in his eye that he gets when he's fully committed to his little story on the radio, and Hikaru turns three different shades of red as his mind goes totally white. Inoo wins Konya Anata wo Kudokimasu that night by a huge margin, and while he makes a fuss for show, Hikaru knows that he would have voted for Inoo, too.
...
"You're pretty bad at coming up with seduction lines, huh~?" Inoo says jokingly one day as they get ready for rehearsal.
"Huh?" Hikaru says, drawn out of his thoughts about the way Inochan's hands look so pretty as he zips up his hoodie.
"I'm just saying. You lose all the time," Inoo says with a shrug and that aggravatingly beautiful smirk, clearly baiting him. But Hikaru can't bring himself to be baited, can't bring himself to do anything but fight to keep, "It's because I'm already being secuded by you," from coming out of his mouth.
...
"Wow, I won again!" Inoo announces triumphantly as a staff member holds the results up for them to see from outside the recording booth. "Seventy-eight percent to twenty-two percent! I'm on a roll!"
No, you're just incredibly witty and charming all the time, Hikaru wants to say, but instead opts to cover his embarrassment by whining dramatically as Inoo chooses the song to play as his prize for the umpteenth week in a row.
...
"For someone who's usually a really sore loser, you don't seem to mind losing at Konya," Inoo remarks late one evening as he and Hikaru lay in bed together. Inoo is curled up against Hikaru's side in a way that makes it hard to do anything but be entirely sincere, but something always stops the truth in Hikaru's throat. He pretends to be asleep, but maybe the way his arms tighten around Inoo's waist just a little despite himself gives him away.
...
"You get really distracted by Inochan during the seduction corner, don't you?" Chinen asks one day after he guests on the show. Hikaru turns red again and immediately begins to deny it, though he honestly isn't even sure why it's so embarrassing, but Chinen only shrugs.
"Everyone's gotta have a weakness," he points out, so matter-of-fact that Hikaru's excuses come to a spluttering halt. "You know I can't deal when Ryosuke gets so excited to eat on School Kakumei."
Hikaru is awed as Chinen walks away with a straight face, like losing it over his boyfriend on a broadcast is no big deal at all.
...
"Fifty-seven percent to forty-three percent! I did it!" Inoo cheers, smirking at Hikaru again. "One more and I'll get to eat whatever food I want~!"
"Aww, man!!" Hikaru plays along, but though it feels embarrassing, the smile that Inoo gives him in response, which sends his heart into a complex routine of somersaults inside his chest, is enough to make up for it.

"You really just suck at seduction, don't you~?" Inoo teases, his huge, gorgeous eyes twinkling mischievously, probably intentionally playing at the irony of the fact that in one way or another, Hikaru certainly succeeded in coaxing Inoo into his bed. It makes Hikaru a little embarrassed to think about it even now, even after more than five years in a relationship, but he pushes the feeling down and smiles.
"The problem is that you’re irresistible," he replies instead, and while he can feel his cheeks burning, the smile that Inoo gives him in response is worth more to him than a thousand wins on the radio, anyway.
