faded_laceOkay, so now that it actually is the time of year to start thinking about Otakon (and this is like, the lamest thing to think about ever considering how little of this costume is done...), I have a question for you, Prince of Tennis-knowing flists!
What sort of bag do you think Mizuki would carry?
I know in the series they carry like everything in either their school bags or their tennis bags, but seeing as I have neither, I'm going to be carrying some form of handbag. I'm planning on carrying around all the items listed in Mizuki's bag check (in some incarnation or another, I obviously can't go to Mizuki's hometown to get that specific candy, so some from the Asian grocery store will have to do XD) sans the computer, possibly, because despite the fact that I do own that exact computer, it would be damn heavy to lug around the con all day.
Anyway, before I get any more tangential, the point is that I'm going to be carrying a mid-sized handbag, and I'm trying to find something vaguely Mizuki-esque. I was thinking something like this seemed sort of fitting (and it helps since I already own it...). I also have a pink canvas bag and probably various other bags at my disposal (I'll have to check once I get home). Any opinions?

The umbrella is the product of my fantasy, alas. It existed for the purpose of that fic. But I don't think I'm off base. Every time you see Mizuki out of uniform (with the exception of his nightgown) he's wearing purple. ALWAYS.
Not to mention my schoolbag is pink plaid. XD;
