Golden Pair, why are you so sweet and cute and adorable, and why do you make me want to write sickeningly sweet fics about you? Also, I love Tuti and Nagayan to bits, but Takiguchi and Seto are really, really adorable. They have great chemistry... especially in Absolute King Rikkai First Service. They're just... really, really sweet.
Anyway, please enjoy!

chiachiaamichan and I were discussing Prince of Tennis characters calling their boyfriends' by given name, I was told to write Golden Pair's. Those two are really, really sickeningly sweet. Honestly. XD;;;
"Naa, Oishi...? Can I ask you a question, nya?"
Oishi looked up from his homework, across the room, to meet Eiji's pensive gaze. Sitting on Oishi's bed, pillow hugged to his chest, Eiji really was adorable, a quality only intensified by the cat-like noise which ended the sentence. Eiji had almost entirely eliminated the "childish" aspects from his dialogue now that they were juniors in high school, but sometimes, mostly when they were alone, they slipped back into his phrases, usually followed by a bit of a blush. Oishi never mentioned it; he had always thought they were cute, and he felt no need to tell Eiji to stop. When it was just the two of them, it didn't matter, right?
But now Eiji was slightly flushed and looking worried, and so Oishi set his pencil down and raised his eyebrows with concern. "What's up, Eiji?"
Eiji looked down, fiddling with the pillow between his spread legs. "You don't mind calling me that, right?"
"What, 'Eiji?'" Oishi asked with a laugh; it seemed like a bit of a silly question. He had, after all, been calling Eiji by his given name since middle school, for almost the entirety of their relationship. Of course, Eiji was social and easygoing, and a lot of other people called Eiji familiarly, but it always gave Oishi a bit of an embarrassing feeling of warmth to know he was the only one who called him "Eiji," free of honourific, exactly as it was. "Of course I don't mind. I'm really happy that I can call you by your given name."
Eiji smiled softly, his cheeks growing a darker shade of pink, though he still didn't meet Oishi's eyes. Shifting so that he was cross-legged and hugging the pillow tighter, he licked his lips. "It makes me really happy, too. I like to hear you call me 'Eiji.'"
Oishi paused a moment, watching Eiji fidget before he smiled softly, rising from his desk chair to sit beside Eiji on the bed, wrapping an arm around him. Eiji's grip on the pillow slackened as he leaned into Oishi's embrace, resting his head on Oishi's shoulder, but he still had that worried look playing across his face, which worried Oishi. Gently, he took Eiji's chin in his hand, lifting his face to press a soft kiss to his lips. Drawing away only slightly, he looked concernedly into Eiji's eyes, offering a comforting smile. "Tell me what's wrong, Eiji."
Eiji's flush deepened yet again, and he looked away a moment, as if debating with himself, before staring pointedly down at the pillow. "Would it be okay... would it be okay, then, for me to call you 'Shuuichirou?'"
Oishi couldn't help but let out another soft laugh, and when Eiji looked up at him in surprise, Oishi kissed him again before pulling back to smile warmly at him. "Of course. I would love it if you would call me by my given name."
Eiji's face lit up like fireworks, and a big, sloppy, adorable grin spread across his face; the kind of expression he had made when Oishi first agreed to play doubles, the kind of expression that had made Oishi fall in love with him. "Really?! I'm so happy! Shuuichirou~! Shuuichirou, Shuuichirou, Shuuichirou! I can't wait to say it to everyone!"
It was Oishi's turn to blush slightly. "Don't get tired of it, now, you know. You have the rest of your life to keep saying it, and it's not that exciting."
But Eiji, adorable, sweet Eiji only shook his head, still grinning ear to ear. "Of course I'll never get tired of it, silly! Just like I'll never get tired of you!"
Oishi couldn't quite find the words to express how he felt at that moment, but, he figured, Eiji could probably figure it out when he pressed him back against the bed and kissed him firmly on the lips, homework entirely forgotten. But what made him blush more, even, than having to apologize to the teachers for forgetting his homework, was overhearing Eiji, at afternoon practice, detailing to the rest of the Regulars what he and "Shuuichirou" had done last night.
Anyway, please enjoy!
