小さな痛みさえ…

So, I need to get to bed, but I just needed to drive by and say this:

Crea was absolutely awful.

I've never had a worse concert/event experience in my whole time in Johnny's fandom. The show was billed as "Sexy Age/Sexy Jr." and list as Hirano Sho, Nagase Ren, Nakamura Reia, and Takahashi Kaito. You know, so there was no confusion as to who was headline the show. In Sexy Zone's Yokohama concerts, they also said specifically that Hirano and Nagase were Sexy Age and Reia and Takahashi Kaito were Sexy Jr. But yet, throughout most of the show, the numbers were three people.

Yes, that's right. Hirano. Nagase. Takahashi.

Each of those three had solo lines in each song. Reia? None. Each of those three had three solo numbers a piece. Reia? None. Matsukura Kaito, Matsuda Genta, Inoue Mizuki, and Kawasaki Koki, for heaven's sake, had more solos than Reia. And to make matters worse, he just looked so… lonely and sad and tired the whole time. Thankfully, he has a large, supportive fanbase, and saw a bunch of girls in the front few rows who made him smile, but for the whole time he just... seemed so lost.

And in the MC, too, Nagase and Hirano just… were absolutely the worst to him (and to some extent Takahashi Kaito, too). Whenever Reia tried to get a word in, they interrupted him or just plain talked over him, and for most of the MC, they had their backs turned to him, completely ignoring him and keeping him on the outside of the conversation. A couple times he managed to speak, and even then, he was graciously talking about them, not trying to make the conversation about himself but actually asking them about their lives, and they always answered in a way that became an insular conversation with Reia on the outside. Finally, he gave up and stopped holding his mic up and sort of just looked into the audience or around the room seeming sad and lost. And like. I get that Nagase and Hirano are dumb teenagers, and it probably wasn't intentional. But seriously, it didn't take a rocket scientist to notice how rude they were being to Reia.

In a truly sad display of how thoroughly emotionally involved in fandom I am, I cried three separate times during the show over how poorly Reia was treated, and had to fight the tears back really hard after the show. After my long and someone unpleasant adolescent pre-professional ballet career, I know how it feels like to be in that position, and more than being upset for myself not getting to see more of him, it really hurts to know how unhappy he was feeling.

At the very end, when idols typically give a short speech about how they're thankful for the fans and worked hard on the show and "please support us in the future" etc, only Nagase, Hirano, and Takahashi came out on stage. Only Nagase, Hirano, and Takahashi gave speeches. Only Nagase, Hirano, and Takahashi sang the following song together. It was really and truly astounding how purposefully and thoroughly Reia was completely excluded from almost every aspect of the show.

I probably won't write a full report because frankly, it's too unpleasant for me to think about, but I'll definitely write a more thorough and complete compilation of my thoughts and observations. In a consolation prize, Jinguji did come see Reia tonight, so here's to hoping he's cheering him up.

Otherwise, this weekend was really great! I saw Ebiza with Amanda of [livejournal.com profile] je_goods and [livejournal.com profile] britkit27, met [livejournal.com profile] nekobot01 in person for the first time, went to the Johnny's shop and bought tons of photos of Reia, and hung out with [livejournal.com profile] yararanger! So that was all really nice. But, man, Crea really dampened my weekend and my mood and my creativity. Here's to hoping I'm feeling a little better tomorrow.

I read a report about Crea of Sexy Age/Sexy Jr so I want to write something.

At first, Sexy Age includes Sho, Ren and Sexy Jr includes Reia, Kaito. After that, staff change to Sexy Age (Sho, Ren, Kaito) and Sexy Jr (Reia, Fu, Matsukura, Genta and others)

So I think Reia didn't talk more in the MC is easy to understand. The main will be Sho, Ren and Kaito. Reia with others are supporter. I want you to know about that. You say that Crea is Reia's show, it's not true.

I love Reia and other Jrs like Sho, Ren. About they treated Reia, I didn't join the show so I don't have anything to say. Crea is the show to push Sho and Ren but I think Reia will have another chance to show off on another show.

I have no idea where you're getting this information, but I never saw anything to indicate that who was in Sexy Age and Sexy Jr was changed. Reia was costumed the same as Hirano, Nagase, and Kaito, and was put with the for the time that he was onstage. When they introduced the members, they introduced Reia and Kaito together, and then Hirano and Nagase together, and then introduced the other four juniors (Genta, Matsukura, Fu, Tajima) much later. The MC was only Hirano, Nagase, Reia, and Kaito. If Reia was in a group with Fu, Matsukura, and Genta, who were all offstage, why was he onstage at all? There was nothing in writing, nor nothing announced about the change. So would you please give me some sort of source for this information?

Additionally, you say it wasn't Reia's show, but the show was billed as Sexy Age and Sexy Jr equally. If that's the case, it was still his show, it was just also Fu, Genta, Matsukura, and Tajima's show as well. So really, even more people were treated badly if what you say is true. And on top of that, Hirano and Nagase didn't let Kaito talk in the MC, either. So if it actually was like what you say (which I hope you'll understand, but I'm not going to believe until you give me a source), they still treated Kaito poorly.

You say "Crea is the show to push Sho and Ren," but yet earlier you said they were also in a group with Kaito? So which are you saying it is? I'm not trying to say you're wrong, but I'm having a lot of trouble understanding what you're trying to say when you contradict yourself that way.

I’m sorry because I didn’t write clearly so make you misunderstand. Sho, Ren and Kaito in one group but Kaito didn’t have more pushing like Sho-Ren. After Johnny’s WEST debut, Sho-Ren are two new stars in Kansai Jrs. They appear together a lot on magazines, shows and stages. Kaito just joined in the company on 2013/06. The main of the show still is Sho-Ren. The pushing will be Sho-Ren>Kaito>Reia>other Jrs. Even though Reia and Kaito’s are named in this show, they weren’t the main.

I follow Kanto and Kansai Jrs closely and only follow them. After read your entry, it didn’t make me surprise when Reia didn’t have solo line or solo song or something else. It made me feel like “Sho-Ren’s show and other Jrs”. Shounen club 2014.05.07, they sang Ai no mikata without Reia. The news of Kurie, only Sho-Ren-Kaito participated in. And the show YOUtachi~ Johnny's Jr. No. 1 Ketteisen, the final stage is Sho-Ren-Kaito, right ? So if Kurie is the place to push 3 of them (especially Sho-Ren), I can understand.
And if everything didn’t change, why did there have only 3 of them read their message to each other?
About the treating, I will try to find audio or something. I didn’t join in the show so I don’t want to write about this.

Sorry because English is not my native language, hope you understand what I means.
Anyway, I’m sorry if I got wrong information. I didn’t force you to believe me or anything else. I just want to share my opinions, don’t get me wrong ! :)

I'm sorry, I'm still having some trouble following what you're saying, but from what I get, your point is "Hirano, Nagase, and Takahashi have been pushed recently, so they should get more attention." I'm not arguing who "should" or "shouldn't" get more attention. I'm telling you that they literally said in the show that Reia and Takahashi Kaito were Sexy Jr. and Hirano and Nagase were Sexy Age. The show was supposed to be starring Sexy Jr. and Sexy Age. Yet one member didn't perform.

Let me put this another way. Say you went to a Johnny's WEST concert, and every member of Johnny's WEST performed except Kotaki. Every other member had a solo and many solo lines, while Kotaki was in the back the entire time. In fact, Kotaki only participated in 1/3 of the show. If you bought your ticket knowing Kotaki was a member of Johnny's WEST and wanting to see him, wouldn't you be upset? It doesn't matter who SHOULD be pushed. It's a matter of advertising the show as one thing and having it be another.

Your argument seems to hinge on Crea being "the place to push the three of them" but I think you're missing an important fact. Crea was not supposed to be a three person show. It was advertised as a FOUR person show. Written on my ticket that I bought and used to get into the event is that it's a show for Sexy Age AND Sexy Junior. It was SUPPOSED to be for all four of them. I don't honestly care who's more talented or who's more pushed or whatever. I'm not arguing about who deserves more attention or spotlight in terms of talent. I'm talking about literally what the show was SUPPOSED to be, what it was ADVERTISED to be, and the fact that that was not what it actually was.

If I understand you correctly, you're not really talking about the same thing as me. I'm sorry if I/my entry are hard to understand, but I really don't know how to make it much clearer. I respect your opinion, but I don't honestly care if it "feels" like "Sho-Ren's show with other Jrs." to you or to anyone. I know what was advertised when I bought my ticket, I know what was said during the show, I saw the way that they treated Reia, and while I don't think that either Nagase nor Hirano are bad people, I found the experience and their behaviour to be pretty upsetting.

At the end of the day, what I want to say is this: The show was advertised as starring Hirano, Nagase, Takahashi, and Reia. I paid a lot for my ticket to see Reia. I was upset when he was treated badly. I think most people would feel the same way if they were in the same position with their favourite JE guy. If you don't agree with me, I respect that and you're more than welcome to, but I'm not going to change my opinion. I was there, I saw it with my own eyes, and I know what I saw and what I felt. This isn't an insult to Nagase or Hirano or anyone else. This is simply about the fact that Reia was top billed for the show and treated as if he was not top billed.
