another day

Back from the long weekend in Tokyo! Despite feeling sort of under the weather, I was able to have an awesome time~ I'll post a more detailed post later, but I was able to go shopping on Saturday and got a bunch of clothes that I'd been wanting plus a bunch of freebies and some stuff for work, Sunday was a really amazing day at Disney Sea with [livejournal.com profile] yararanger, where we got Duffy keychains that we named Fu, Yuta, and Reia (and that I'm going to try to make shirts or something for), and then on Monday I got to meet the lovely [livejournal.com profile] talisa_ahn and [livejournal.com profile] enshinge as well as seeing [livejournal.com profile] snowqueenofhoth for the first time in a long time, and then snacks and soda with [livejournal.com profile] doctoggy! The whole weekend was a lot of fun and I'm glad that I managed to stay well for most of it, even if I'm losing my voice a bit still. Also even if Reia was unexpectedly in the ABC-Z con and I didn't see him >__<;

Today, on the other hand, I've been totally dead x__x We had a pretty big earthquake today, as well, and all the kids freaked out in class. It was only a 4 in my city, but hard enough that stuff fell off my shelves (first time ever) at home. I also am having ongoing issues getting new glasses-- they decided to prescribe me a much lower prescription than at home? And also different in my two eyes despite them being the same before? And it seemed fine when they were testing me, but the glasses make me dizzy and give me a headache and make me nauseated. So. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do >___<;;;

Sorry for all the whining >__>; TL;DR I had a really good weekend but today sort of sucked.

Heard about the earthquake! You came to my mind when a friend of mine there said its near gunma-ken.
btw, regarding the hsj yoko arena con what day are you going again?

Thanks for thinking of me! Everything is totally fine in my city, though. ^^

I'm going on Sunday! How about you?

thats good to hear! I have also a friend from there too.
Monday T_T too bad! But I'll try to line up for the goods. Any advice you can give? It'll be my first time to do some con goods shopping.

I hope that your friend was okay, as well. ^^

Too bad! Have a good time! As for lines… with JUMP I've never had a problem at Tokyo Dome, and at the only only smaller venue I've gone to, they sold out of the T-shirt maybe 2 hours before the show, but nothing else. I've never seen JUMP at YokoAri, but the biggest issue is that outside goods are really poorly organized because there's basically nowhere to queue. I know people who line up to be first in the doors so that they can do indoor goods, alternately, you can wait in the inefficient queue outside. When I've seen Sexy Zone at YokoAri, they've sold out of various things, but I think that was more a Sexy Zone issue than a YokoAri issue. My advice for outside goods would be either to go during the show before/the show after, or to go at the last minute before the show, so that most people have already gotten their goods and gone inside. ^^;;

Yep he is!
Thanks for the tip! I've lined up for the YokoAri HSJ con before but gave up since the con was starting and I was even late. I'm thinking of going on a Sunday, right after I arrive from Kyoto. Like I'd go their at 7AM or something >_< I dunno if this time is the best time so do so.
And btw, my Japanese is not so good so is it like okay to point out what I want?

Good to know!

I think if you line up at 7 am you'll definitely be able to get goods lol. I'm not sure offhand what time the line opens but it's usually between 8 and 10, so you should be plenty early. ^^ JUMP really doesn't tend to sell out though-- YokoAri is the biggest location for this tour so I'm going to assume they'll stock a lot of almost everything. They'll expect Tokyo people to come just to buy goods even if they're not seeing the show, too.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing to point at. The goods are all in various places behind the counter, not close so you can see them. They might know the English name (pamphlet vs panfuretto) of some goods, though, and I hear that they're very patient and helpful, so I don't think you need to worry too much. ^^ Just be prepared to do your best to describe and gesture what you want.

haha! I know its like im really so early. But I heard some even are in the arena before that just to get the goods on time.
Okay got it! I'll prolly "practice" what to say since I already made up my mind on the goods I want.
I appreciate your advise! Thanks!

It's good to be early, though XD You're much more likely to get what you want that way! I know some girls go at 5 or 6 am, so don't worry about being too early.

You can always write it down or print it on paper, if you want! If you show them they'll know what you mean.

No problem! I'm glad to help.
