gakuto's a whore?

Apparently, I really can't decide who I pair Gakuto with. XD; Every time I'm going back to good old Oshitari/Gakuto, I happen to see something ShishiGaku or something and it makes me squeal over that. XD;;;

So, since I wanted to create a poll. XD;;; Please give me your opinion! Which is your first favourite Gakuto pairing?

Aww. XD;; Well, they were my layout for a while, too, but, honestly, a lot of my drive behind liking them together recently has been because of Saitou and Ruito. Those two have more chemistry together than most other TeniMyu pairs, and it really shows on stage. Maybe I just need to go back and rewatch the anime; it's been a while (a year :D), but I feel like I liked Yuushi with Gakuto out of default, because that's what was expected and because they played doubles. I don't remember well enough, but I almost feel like there's more chemistry in canon between Hiyoshi and Gakuto in that one OVA episode and Shishido and Gakuto in Fuun Shounen Atobe than there was between Yuushi and Gakuto in the series (because that was before the writers realized their target audience? idk. XD;) Of course, it may just be because I watched the latter two more recently, too.

...mm, maybe I should go read some dirty pair fic now. XD;

It's true that Saitou and Ruito's portrayal helps a lot XD;; I see your point, though...it's like, because it's been a while since I watched the anime, my perception of them has been really shaped by fic. I wish I had time to rewatch it :/ But to be fair, I would need to watch the OVA as well and compare XD

I think Shishido and Gakuto gave me too much of a bffl vibe in Fuun Shounen Atobe for me to really ship them, though...

Yeah, exactly. And while fandom is excellent, sometimes I feel like, especially with prince of tennis, I have to go back to canon and figure out what I really think. It's actually a problem that happens to me a lot with Mizuki, because fandom his this little tendency to make him into a woman. But you really ought to watch the OVA... that episode is ridiculous. XD;

Really? Even when I first saw it, and I was super resisting wanting to ship them, I couldn't help but see it a little. The way Shishido totally melts when Gakuto yells at him, and he doesn't snap back at him, but is just like "...see?" And the way he responds to Gakuto's sweets/temptress face. And just... everything about the two of them together. XD; It's adorable.

XD It's definitely on my to-do list. Maybe we can watch it when I come visit you.

Maybe I need to watch that again, too XD I'd probably see it if I was looking for it.
