Hello! I came across your LJ while googling for icons, and seeing your profile and this post made me definitely interested in adding you! I think it's so, so, cool that you're working as an English teacher in Japan - that's always been one of my career goals. I spent a year in Japan, but haven't had the opportunity to go back since. I'd love to read about your experiences. :)
My name is Jamie and I'm male, I hope that's okay. I'm also originally from the east coast of the USA, but am currently living in the southwest.
Fandom-wise, we definitely have some overlap - I'm mainly in KAT-TUN fandom with NEWS on the side, although I do also like Arashi quite a bit. In general, anyone younger than NEWS doesn't appeal to me that much, but I've always really liked Nakajima Yuto for some reason, and I think Marius Yo is the most adorable kid in the world :')
I'm a RPS writer too, and I'd love to read some of your fics! I wonder if we have any ships in common.
Oh, and while I'm not really in any sort of anime/manga fandoms anymore either, Saiyuki was always my favorite!! So we have that in common as well.
